Actress Gretchen Barretto is in the news again and this time, it is because of a rumored credit card swiping incident that happened in Dusit Hotel in Makati. According to PEP, Gretchen invited her friends Ruffa Guttierez, Pops Fernandez, someone named Josie and her sister Marjorie for a dinner at the hotel. The incident allegedly started when Gretchen Barretto paid for their bill with her credit card and the waiter returned the card to her because it was rejected.

The controversial actress reportedly asked the waiter to swipe the card again saying "That cannot be, we own the bank!". Of course, La Greta is not bankrupt and least likely to need probate inheritance funding (the sort of cash advances given to heirs of probate estates) but the card was rejected three times and Ruffa Guttierez ended up paying for the 4300 peso bill.

People at the hotel reportedly overheard somebody in the group saying that Gretchen Barretto's partner Tony Boy Cojuangco might have cut off her credit card.
